Jazz For Your Wedding Ceremony, Reception or Corporate Event

The Great Lakes Chamber Players is proud to announce The Nichol Jazz Ensemble.   The members of this first rate jazz band are among the top jazz musicians in Michigan.  TheNichol Jazz Ensemble is capable of creating many different kinds of musical ensembles. Classical wedding ceremony music is performed with saxophone and piano by John and Jonathan Nichol. Jazz standards make up the dinner music played by saxophone, piano, bass, and vocals, providing a sophisticated atmosphere. The Nichol Family can replace a DJ by providing weddings with the energy and excitement of live dancing music including Motown hits. The group receives many compliments for their outstanding musical skills and professionalism. In addition, the Nichol Family frequently performs live concerts.

The Nichol Jazz Ensemble can perform live as a jazz duo (piano and saxophone), jazz trio ( piano, saxophone, bass guitar) or jazz quartet (piano, saxophone, bass guitar and drums). 

A high quality PA speaker system is also available for introductions, announcements, prayers, etc.

John Nichol is Professor of Saxophone at Central Michigan University and he enjoys working with his sons Jonathan (saxophone) and Jason (bass and vocalist,). Jonathan, an award winning saxophonist, teaches saxophone at Alma College and is finishing a masters degree in saxophone performance at Michigan State University.  Jason (bio coming soon), an award winning bassist and Central Michigan University student, also doubles as a Frank Sinatra style vocalist.
